What Disney Restaurant Should I Go To For A Solo Dining Experience?

I will be arriving in Orlando on new years day, the evening before my travel companion is scheduled to arrive and I would like to eat out some place on Disney property that is not counter service hamburgers, chicken fingers or pizza. I’m looking for a restaurant on disney property that has good food and that I won’t feel awkward dining in alone. Any good recommendations?

My husband and I are planning to take our kids (1 and 4 years-old) to Magic Kingdom for just one day in July while we are in Fl. We would like to stay close to the park but we are budget-minded. Is a moderately priced resort worth the extra expense compared to an All-Stars hotel or even hotel outside of Disney?
